We’re taking part in the 2.6 Challenge

Let’s join the Nation and become fundraising heros.

What is the 2.6 Challenge?

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities. In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities. The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26 April. The aim of the challenge is to take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support Portsmouth Sail Training Trust.

What can I do?

In taking part in the 2.6 challenge, you can dream up any activity related to 2.6 or 26. Here are some examples:

  • For the hardcore Sailors amongst us why not take part in 26 races via Virtual Sailing Regatta
  • Challenge yourself to 26 sit-ups.
  • Write down 26 things you’re grateful for and share with family and friends.

You must follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing. Most people are taking part from Sunday 26 April but you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you.

Fundraise!

To donate £26 (or more!) and set up a fundraising page head over to our Just Giving page. And it is as easy as that! Please do share your 2.6 challenge activities with us on Facebook using the #TwoPointSixChallenge and #raisingaspirations or email your stories to info@sailtrainingtrust.org

Every penny you donate will help us raise young people’s aspirations – thank you.
